Ecofarma World is a pioneering agri-biotech company with roots in Gothenburg, Sweden, and Pretoria, South Africa. We specialise in the development and industrial manufacturing of environmentally sustainable high-quality products based on humic and fulvic acids. These are natural components of the soil and of great importance for plants’ ability to absorb nutrients.

We are dedicated to restoring soil fertility and improving livestock health in a sustainable way to reduce the use of agrochemicals. Through cutting-edge biotechnology, we offer versatile solutions that can be used as stand-alone products or as blending ingredients to improve the efficiency of conventional fertilisers.

Rich in bio-stimulants

Our diverse range of products includes soil improvers, humics-enhanced fertilisers and feed supplements for livestock for mainly the agricultural sector and for sports fields with high demands.

All products are particularly rich in bio-active compounds, including auxins, cytokinins, jasmonates and phenolic phytohormones (plant hormones). This makes them highly effective in improving plant growth and nutrient uptake as well as in boosting livestock health.

Regarding the feed supplements, research shows that cytokinins enhance cell growth and development, auxins exhibit anti-tumor properties and phenolic phytohormones improve immune response.

Uniquely effective humic and fulvic acids

Ecofarma World extracts the humic and fulvic acids from a unique coal deposit in Southern Africa. Coal consists of decomposed organic material which has been transformed by the combined effects of microbial action, high heat and pressure for millions of years. The coal from our source is especially abundant in hydroxylic, carboxylic and phenolic groups, which is highlighted by the released phytohormones.

We minimise energy use and chemical inputs by using an environmentally friendly extraction process, originating from 1989 and refined over the decades. Thus, we ensure that the valuable bio-stimulants in our products are preserved in their most effective form.

Liquid product advantages

We focus on liquid products as the advantages of the liquid form are many. It facilitates blending with nutrients, inoculation of beneficial microbes and direct application with any spraying or spreading equipment. The plants absorb the liquid fertiliser fast, through either roots or leaves, and the effect on the soil is also improved by a more widespread and more uniform distribution. This restores its structure and quickly chelates the nutrients, preventing their leakage and making them more available to the plant.

Storage is also easier compared to dry fertilisers as the liquid extract neither oxidises, absorbs moisture or cakes. Furthermore, there are no dust or clumping issues during handling and application.
